Fællesblog for alle Fountain Houses medlemmer og medarbejdere
Jessica and Lizzy here, the two American psychology students interning at Fountain House.
Unfortunately our time here at the house and in København is coming to a close. We wanted to say a few words before we say goodbye to Fountain House next Wednesday. We have very much enjoyed our time in Danmark and feel that we’ve gained insight into Fountain House and the approach to the treatment of mental illness in Danmark. We have found everyone at the house to be quite welcoming and we appreciate the opportunity we’ve had to interact with both members and staff. Our conversations have covered a variety of topics, from the Danish healthcare system to personal struggles to Danish pop culture. Our biggest challenge was probably the language barrier, although we have made some progress with our Danish with the help of members.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to talk to us and made us feel welcome here at Fountain House.
We look forward to visiting a Fountain House in the United States after we return to compare the two, and are confident our experiences here will prove beneficial to our future studies.
